All the films of SkyeSong are deeply crafted wisdom-tales. They include

The music of SkyeSong encompasses a rich and lustrous array of many styles, including

⬥ classical and choral works,
⬥ opera, and
⬥ deeply crafted film scores based on orchestral and vocal music, augmented with the world's rich acoustic-instrument palette.
The films of SkyeSong are all wisdom-tales, crafted to portray and illumine life's deep truths through uniting the unique and complementary powers of music, film, art and story-telling.
Five initial films and a trilogy are in various stages of development and production, with full scripts, music, libretto's and lyrics completed for most of these productions.
The films represent a unique approach to film-making in the particular way they combine, integrate and harness the powers of story, music and art:
- Their stories awaken, illumine, edify and impart healing, empowering, all-liberating life-wisdom.
- Music is an active and integral presence and voice in every film, conveying and carrying the inner content, deep tones and subtle hues of each story. It is allowed the time and freedom to do so as no other voice can. Without abandoning the forms and power of cinematic story-telling, the musical voice is given precedence, as in opera.
- The visual unfolding of the stories employs rich artistic imagery to convey and evoke their inner symbolism and deep content.
The films of SkyeSong also represent a new kind of musical film. Their music is not merely the principal vehicle of story-telling prevalent in opera and traditional musicals; nor is it simply the familiar musical accompaniment to cinematic story-telling. Instead, the role their music fulfils falls somewhere in between these, whilst embracing both: a constant presence and voice, sometimes dominant, sometimes in the background, carrying, conveying, narrating and breathing forth the story and its deep, multi-layered, inner content.
